FUN-MAGIC BIRTHDAY
Frequently Asked Questions
How much space do you need?
Not much at all! I typically need a 4' x 4' to 6' x 6' area for my equipment and performance space.
A living room or basement playroom works perfectly. All I ask is a clear area directly in front of me where the children can sit comfortably and enjoy the show.
Do you need a table?
Nope! I bring everything I need, including tables, props, and performance equipment. You don’t need to set up anything in advance.
Can I videotape your performance?
Absolutely! Many parents love capturing their child’s special moments.
- Photos are always welcome
- Short video clips are okay
- Full show recording is not permitted
Photos and videos are for personal use only and may not be used for commercial purposes.
Can you perform the show outdoors?
Yes, outdoor shows are possible as long as conditions are favorable.
Because some props are lightweight, wind can cause challenges, and extreme heat can be uncomfortable for children. Indoor shows are usually best since there are fewer distractions and more consistent conditions.
How much do your shows cost?
I offer
several entertainment packages to fit different party needs and budgets.
For current pricing and package details, simply fill out my information request form, and I’ll personally contact you with all the options.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. Since many dates book months in advance, a partial deposit is required to secure your date and time.
- Shows over 60 miles from my normal performing area require a 50% deposit
- The remaining balance is due when I arrive, before the show begins
This way, once the show is over, you can relax and enjoy the rest of the party without worrying about payment.
Accepted payment methods: Venmo (@Michael-Raymer-Magic), cash, or check

Is the show clean and age appropriate?
Yes — absolutely!
My Fun Magic Birthday Show is designed especially for children ages 5–10 and features clean, family-friendly magic and comedy.
I also perform adult birthday shows with a different style, but
everything I do is always clean and appropriate.
When's a good time to have you begin your show?
A great rule of thumb is to schedule the show about 30 minutes after the party begins. This allows guests time to arrive and helps avoid distractions.
Depending on the package you choose, the show runs 30–60 minutes.
I'm celebrating more than one child's birthday, can you still entertain at our party?
Of course! I’ll make sure each birthday child gets special attention and becomes an active part of the show. Everything else stays the same — just a few more lucky stars!
*Important:
Can the adults be in another room while you entertain the kids?
For safety and insurance reasons, at least one responsible adult must remain in the room during the performance.
While I am safe-environment trained, having an adult present helps protect everyone involved. Most parents end up staying anyway — adults usually enjoy the show just as much and love taking photos when their child helps with the magic!
