 FUN-MAGIC BIRTHDAY

Frequently Asked Questions

How much space do you need?

Not too much. For my equipment and place to stand, I need a 4' x 4' to 6' x 6' area.

Usually, your living room or basement play room is a perfect place for this. Other than that, an area right in front of my performing area for the children to sit and enjoy the show is all that is needed.

Do you need a table?

No, I bring everything that I will need: tables, props etc.

Can I videotape your performance?

I have many parent's who want to video their child's "Fun Magic Birthday" so I do not mind photography as long as they are not used for commercial purposes, video taping some segments are ok, however video taping of the entire show is strictly forbidden.

Can you perform the show outdoors?

Yes, providing the weather is decent and the temperature is not too hot. If the wind is blowing, it can cause problems as some of my props are very light and could blow away. It's always safer to have it indoors plus there will be less distractions.

How much do your shows cost?

I offer several different entertainment packages for children's birthday parties. For complete details, including pricing, simply fill out my
information request form and I'll contact you with all the options.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. As many of my shows book months in advance, I require a partial deposit to secure your date and time.

If the show requires travel outside of my normal performing area (over 60 miles) a 50% deposit is required.

Balance is due when I arrive at your performance location before the show starts. That way once I'm done, you can continue with your other festivities and not have to worry about payment.

I accept Venmo, cash, or checks, made payable to: Michael Raymer.

Is the show clean and age appropriate?

Yes! I take pride in that my show is specifically geared towards children ages 5-10. I specialize in entertaining children with clean, fun magic. I also perform for adult birthday parties and that includes more comedy and magic but always clean.

When's a good time to have you begin your show?

A good general rule of thumb is to have my show begin about a half hour after the party is to begin. This prevents distractions from late arriving guests. Depending on which package you go with, the show will last 30 - 45 minutes.

I'm celebrating more than one child's birthday, can you still entertain at our party?

Yes! I then have all of the birthday children be active in the show. Everything else is the same except we have a few more lucky participants!

*Important:

Can we hire you to entertain our children in one room while all of the adults hang out in another room?

Due to liability and insurance, I do require that all of the children be supervised at all times by at least one responsible adult (besides me). While, I have been safe environment trained, another adult should always be present, this is protect you, the children and myself. The adults will have just as much fun seeing the show and will probably want to take pictures, especially if their children are helping in the show.
